Sights of Pattaya

Pattaya Attractions | Pattaya attractions

Pattaya, unlike other parts of Thailand, mainly has fairly modern sights. Rather than finding many old, historical sights, you will find sights and attractions that are more modern and perhaps more entertaining.

Sights of Pattaya - The Temples

Pattaya does have a number of stunning temples that you may wish to see. Remember, these temples are places of worship and you must dress appropriately. Modest, non-revealing clothing is essential and you should wear proper footwear (no sandals/flip-flops). It is disrespectful to touch a monk, especially for a woman to touch a monk so be respectful as you enjoy these incredible sights.

Popular Sights of Pattaya

Some of the most popular sights of Pattaya include modern marvels created to entertain visitors to Pattaya. Underwater World which is a marine aquarium is a great attraction that is perfect for people of all ages. The Museum of Bottle Art shows miniature art inside of bottles.

Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum is entertaining and educational and is generally enjoyed by people of all ages. An even more awe inspiring sight in Pattaya is the Sanctuary of Truth which is a painstaking replica of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Mini Siam gives you the opportunity to see a scaled down version of many of the most popular sights in Thailand.

Traditional Sights of Pattaya

Some of the more traditional of the sights of Pattaya include a trip to Nong Enoch Village where you can see traditional dancers and learn about the Thai culture. You can also see elephants up close and enjoy a ride on one of the spectacular animals. A visit to the orchid garden is well worth it, you will see some breathtaking orchids.

Tour packages are a great way to get to see many of the sights of Pattaya and save some money while you do so. You can buy tour packages in advance or if you do not get a chance to do so most hotels and resorts offer tour packages including the Pattaya Discovery Tour.

Make sure you save some time for shopping which for many visitors represents the best sights of Pattaya. Great shops including handicrafts are as part of the culture in Thailand as the restaurants, dances and art.

You may also want to explore some traditional Thai restaurants including PIC Kitchen so you can eat traditional food and even sit on floor seating. This creates an authentic feel as you enjoy your time seeing the sights of Pattaya.
