In Pattaya, Songkran is celebrated April 18th - 19th, some days after the rest of the country; Sonkgran is the Thai New Year and it is celebrated among other ways by people throwing large quantities of water on everything and anything that moves. It is celebrated through Pattaya but you will find Soi 7 and Soi 8 will leave you particularly soaked.
