Pattaya is going through the growing pains that every mayor city has to endure in order to catch up with success. In Pattaya, typical business hours are: for Banks Monday through Fridays from 8:00am to 3:30 pm; Government agencies Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Lunch break 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm); private business are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Department Stores are usually closed on Sundays but open the rest of the week from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Smaller shops usually keep their doors open for longer hours.
