Wihan Sian in Pattaya
Attractions, Pattaya
This elegant Chinese construction in the vicinity of Wat Yannasangwararam is a centre of exquisite Thai-Chinese arts.
Built to be dedicated to HM King Bhumibol in 1987, Wihan Sian is an epitome of the harmonious blend of Buddhist beliefs, Taoism and Confucianism.
Collections of priceless antiques and works of art from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong are on display here. Among others, Wihan Sian boasts the hard-to be-seen writing-brush calligraphy of Prince Pu Jie (Chinese Emperor Pu Yi's younger brother), on the signboard of the building which reads "Dan Fu Yuan", the Chinese name of Wihan Sian.
